A 15 Years Old Girl Rapped by Teenagers

No Rape
Again a 15 years old minor girl is allegedly gang-raped in Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar by teenagers area in the state capital. According to the police, when the girl was returning from the school to home the four accused abducted her and gang-raped on 17th July (Saturday).

Thereafter the victim lodged a complaint with the DD Nagar police station alleging that she was gang-raped. The four accused have been identified as Rakesh Kumar (18), Vijay Kumar Verma (20) and their two minor accomplices are all residents of the same locality.

The girl told police that she was taken to a isolated place by the boys and there they raped her. The medical examination of the girl has confirmed the allegations  and the Police arrested the accused on 21st July (Sunday). Police said that the further investigation is going on.

Friends, its a relief that the accused was arrested and the girl may get a fair justice. But whats making me sad most is the ages of the accused. Have you seen the ages of the accused? One is 18 years, one is 20 years and other two is much less minor! Can you believe this!? Where is our generation going? The teenagers are involving in such rape cases! This never means that I am saying that the mature one can do this. I am just saying how the minds of the teenagers are changing.

Now, I think it's the time when we should seriously think about this matter. We should think why the mentalities of people are going down. And another most important question is 'Do these worst minded people have no fear doing such?'

I think the main reason behind this is our law system. Our law system does not punish the under eighteen accused for any kind of crime. And this is the reason that the teenagers become fearless in doing any crime. In the case of Damini in Delhi (16 December 2012) the main accused was under eighteen for which our system cannot punish him yet or I think will can't if there would no change in our law.

Of course we show sympathy to the child, I also admit it. But if a child can rape a girl, kidnap a girl than we should think about the maturity of the mind of the child. I don't understand why should we show any kind of sympathy with a rapist whether mature or immature!?

Friends, I think a rapist must be punished to death whether he  is mature or immature, as a raped girl lost everything, she lost her self respect. In most of the cases the rapped girl is killed or die at the time of treatment but if she survive than she has to live with shy whole of her life in our society. Rape is much than the murder and the rapist must be hanged till death. Its my wish.

The Accused of Kanchan Rape and Murder Case are Sentenced to Death

After a long time Kanchan get justice. Friends, Kanchan Meshram was a 19 years old girl who was raped and murdered in a gruesome manner on 18 December, 2005. After 7 and half years later on 28th June, 2013 the two accused  Rakesh Kamble (25), a resident of Gaurakshan Slums in Wardha, and Amarsing Thakur (27), from Bajrang Nagar in city were sentenced to death by the district and session court.

Kanchan lived in Lonara Slums in Kalmeshwar with her parents and brother. She had always been teased by the two accused on the road. Then before a few days of the incident Kanchan rapped Rakesh for indecent behaviour and thrown a slipper at him. Rakesh got enraged and decided to teach her a lesson. Then at about 3 a.m. Rakesh barged into the small hut of the girl with Amarsingh when she was sleeping with her parents and brother. They both were armed with knives and a country-made revolver.

Kanchan's mother sensing trouble, signaled her to run away. She ran to her uncle's house and took shelter under the bed. But she couldn't save herself. Both the goons even went to her uncle's house and entered by breaking open the front door and dragged her out. Her parents and the villagers tried their best to stop them but in front of the revolver they could not do anything. The goons took her away and her parents and the villagers were just watched helplessly.

The story is looking like a bollywood movie, where the hero comes now and bring back the girl safely fighting with the villains. But friends, sad to say that it was not a bollywood movie, it was a real story and there no hero came to save the girl. Next morning, her naked body was found at a nearby farm with 14 injuries, including stab marks and scratches on her private parts. Her blood stained clothes were lying all over the farm and blood was found splattered at many places, providing ample testimony of the spine chilling torment she underwent. The post mortem report confirmed her rape and murder.

After committing the crime, the two accused fled away to unknown place. Then after six months Rakesh was arrested at Khamgaon in Buldhana on June 6, 2006 by the police. However the other one Amarsing was arrested after five years by the Gwalior police for some other offense and was brought to the city for this case.

Looking at the past criminal record of the accused duo, including fleeing from police custody and the citing testimony of 19 witnesses, including the girl's parents, brother and other villagers, the third district and sessions judge Vibha Ingle had no hesitation in putting the dastardly act under "rarest of rare" category. "They be hanged by neck till dead," the court mentioned while reading out an operative order in the packed courtroom.

Apart from the capital punishment, the duo was awarded lifer for gang rape, 20 years rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping for murder and another 10 years for criminal intimidation and trespassing into house at night. They were also fined Rs 22,000 on various counts. All the jail terms will run concurrently, the court ordered.

Feeling sad for the girl but I want to thank the God as the criminals got punished for the sin.

Damini Has Gone But Still Nothing Is Changed

16 Dec, 2012 one of the blackest day, not only for India but for the whole humanity. Friends, the incident that happened in Delihi on that day has given us such a shock that I thought it would change not only our system but also the criminal mind of such people who get involved in these cases. But yet, what I see that nothing is changed just without some paper and pen works. Damini had left us with so many pains but still nothing is changed and we are waiting for another so many Damini for the change.

When I wake up in the morning and switch on the news channel, there are so many types of news presentation comes like '500 Seconds', 'News Headlines', News Superfast' etc etc. but the common thing is that in every news channel I see there are so many such case is happening like Damini. We the people who believe that it will ended up one day are starting to believe that it won't be ended and these types of news are just like the entertainment news which some people enjoy, some feel sad and some don't want to watch.

I remember the days after the incident happened, so many people come out for protest, so many people come out for justice. From Delhi to the US it made the sound. The Hon' President of India Sh. Pranab Mukharjee honoured her with the name 'Spirit of Nirbhaya' and the 'Rani Lakshmibai Award' for 2012, The US Government honoured her with 'International Women of Courage Award'.

At the State Department function held to honour women from across the globe with the prestigious International Women of Courage Award the US Secretary of State, John Kerry said, "Her bravery inspired millions of women and men to come together with a simple message: No more. No more looking the other way when gender-based violence happens. No more stigma against victims or survivors."

Damini got so much sympathy and support with a hope that it might change the Indian women's life. But it's so much painful for us that the Government yet cannot change anything that the women can feel safe. Yet they are living such a life where they can't say that they are safe in their own house!

Damini has gone with so much pain which cannot wake up the Government to make safe the women. Everyday there are so many DAMINI is being raped or sexually harassed but we the people are busy in our own works and the Ministers who are sitting in the chairs are busy in save their SEATs instead of saving the dignity of women as well as the country. I don't know how many Damini do we need to change these all. Do you know!?
